Farmers Markets

Along with the supply of the proper shops of proper trades’ people, we’ve always thought that farmers’ markets and street markets were the best way to bring farm produce to town. In a world without oil, both the super market and internet shopping must become things of the past. We must revive convivial centres – towns and villages, where ” both work and pleasure are walking distance from everyone’s door”.

Anyway, here are some lovely markets, which we used to attend. Sadly, while Owain recovers from his latest chemotherapy, we have given up our market stalls.

Mold Farmers’ Market, King Street, Mold on the first and third Saturdays of each month.  9am to 1pm www.celynfarmersmarket.co.uk –

Abbey Leys Farmers’ Market, High Legh, Knutsford on each first Sunday, 10am to 1pm  http://www.abbeyleys.co.uk/

Wirral Farmers’ Market, New Ferry on each second Saturday, 9am to 1pm. –

West Kirby Farmers’ Market, on the fourth Saturday of every month, 9am – 1pm at St Andrew’s Church Hall, Graham Road, West Kirby. http://www.westkirbyfarmersmarket.co.uk/
